George Dishman, Elder

George Dishman, born in Biloxi, Miss., has lived in Dallas for the past 48 years.  He met his lovely wife, Diane, in the Bryan Adams High School cappella Choir.  They married at the Shamrock Shores Church of Christ.  The Dishmans’ have 3 children, Mimi, Chris and Doug, and 6 grandchildren, Morgan, Collin, Josh, Mac, Tanner, and Liza.

George is employed at ACI Worldwide software sales.  Diane is production manager for D Magazine.  When not at work, you can find George out on a golf course or enjoying a home improvement project. He also loves to read and work with wood.  George enjoys his role as the Blessings Class leader and always gets the class off to a great start.  He and Diane also host a life group in their home every Sunday night.

George’s hope for Skillman is for us to yield to the Holy Spirit and grow closer to the Lord.  If we do, he believes God will have His way in our lives individually and in our neighborhood collectively.  Our obligation is to let Him do His work.
